haven't seen it myself, but I do like this picture from Amsterdam:

sometimes reporters take the car on the road, but you have to be lucky to be spotting it!

I like it. There was one, the McLaren Press car at an event held at Romans, which was raising funds for The Childrens Trust.

Great looking car, except when it rained a a black table cloth had to be put over the cockpit smile

From a post I posted in the 'spotted' thread:

M25 near South Mimms this afternoon, red Ferrari Dino 246 GTS and a Mclaren Mercedes SLR Stirling Moss!
Yep, saw one on September bank holiday monday last year.

I didn't catch the number plate as it was on the opposite outside lane of the motorway.
It looked and sounded spectacular is it flashed by and in my mirrors.

I was very surprised to see one on the road and guessed it could be a press car / U.K. demonstrator or something....?

We were at the Mille Miglia last year and Mika Hakinen was driving a McLaren Stirling Moss SLR as a course car - looked and sounded absolutely fantastic. On the way back up the Auto Strada from Sienna to Milan we were doing about 90mph in my Elise with the roof off when we were overtaken by 8 "standard" McLaren SLR's in a row doing about 170 mph - absolutely fantastic sight !

Maybe looks better in the flesh but i think it could look more expensive than it does or at least what it costs because pictures Ive seen makes me think of a kit car although a good one at that.

Saw a German registered one pootling up Regent Street last year, I have a picture somewhere which I'll try to dig out. Not really my thing as too many creature comforts but must admit it did look stunning.

There is one on display in the bank in the centre of Lech in Austria. Mercedes Benz have a real tie up with the resort and they have a sort of sales office in the bank. They always have something interesting on display. This year it is the Strling Moss SLR, previous years it has been a DTM race car, historic rally cars, etc. Apart from actually sitting in it you can get as close as you want to.

I saw one a few months ago on the way to work early in the morning. I live in Woking though which is just up the road from McLaren. It took me a couple of seconds to realise what it was once it drove past me. Sounded awesome!

I love the tonneau cover panels! Can you stow them somewhere when on the move or do you have to keep them back at base?

Don't think it was there in the Summer frown

Here are some pictures of the car at the Mille Miglia. It was there with the original Stirling Moss car!

We were staying at the same hotel as the Mercedes guys and David Coulthard. It was a nice surprise!!
