Cerbera 4.5 LW buying guide/advice
Discussion
Hi All,
I am buying a 4.5 LW and need advice in terms of what to look for to ensure I but a decent one!
I have a lot of experience with anything that runs on petrol, but realise that there will be a lot to learn taking on a TVR!
I would be grateful to anyone who takes the time to reply to this post!
Many Thanks
Ryan

I think were all suffering from 'Giving Buying Advice' Fatigue
So don't get too upset by none of us not replying. Use the search function on here, there are loads of threads about what to look for. As long as you have a deep pocket you'll be fine
Here's one thread to read for starters

It's all about condition.
Chassis, check for rust and religion.
Engine should have 60PSI oil pressure when hot and running 2000rpm or so dropping to 45-50 at idle. Don't worry about it sounding like a bag of spanners when cold, that is what they do, should be much quieter when hot.
Gears should be reasonably smooth, if not suspect clutch problems, these are very common.
Check for over heating issues and just that all is working as it should, both fans cut in when needed, Aircon, doors and windows open and close properly.
Look for oil leaks on Diff and Engine, many engine leaks end up being an engine out job to fix, alternatively I look at my engine oil leak as further chassis rust protection, seems highly effevtive ;-)
I would look for one from on here as most are totally besotted by the Cerb, it truely is a great car, and despite what some people tell you not so troublesome.
Problem is that when you go and take a look at one you will if you are any thing like me just buy it and end up doing it up slowly, as soon as I saw the one I have now parked up waiting for me to take a look I knew I would be driving her home that afternoon, heart took over and I haven't stopped smiling since.
