"Major travel problems are being caused in Aberdeen due to an ongoing police incident.

Trains to Aberdeen are terminating at Dyce and Stonehaven.

Grampian Police have so far declined to give any details of what is happening in the city centre but members of the public reported serious problems"

To be fair, the roads around the train station are main arterial roads, and closing them at rush hour is going to have a knock on effect

Police have confirmed that the suspect package was, in actual fact, a basic model Ford Focus.

This was reported by various people who had not seen such a car in Aberdeen. One Ferrari driver said "the thing was red like my car but that's where the similarity ended. I checked Pistonheads to see if it was on Scotland's Finest Spotted and it wasn't"

Police have confirmed that the suspect package has been blown up and they are going to increase security in and around the city to ensure there is no repeat of this.
