Where's my onion thread gone??

After asking about mushrooms I decided to try my luck re onion rings. "Submit" was pressed and results eagerly awaited. Alas it aint there Not wanting to look a complete numpty, (love that word which sadly has gone out of fashion on here of late), should I wait for that which is lost in the ether, or re-do and risk the humility of a double thread start?

Could cut out the middle man and ask here if anyone knows how to make truely great onion rings !!
