I seem to have no upload speed. I thought my browsing was getting more difficult. I ran a test on two different sites but had nothing. I tried it with firewall off, but it was the same.

Cheers.

Routers have a tendency, especially on relatively recent ISP connections, to drop the line when it's quiet and reboot to test the best speed available. I think you just caught it at one of those moments.
If it (absence of upload) lasted longer than a few minutes then it might have been a line fault somewhere.

Just tried it again and I got 0.35. I got a fast download time though, for me, 6.5Mbps

Ah, just asking as I had seen a few posts elsewhere of people updating AVG and it slowing things up.

One question. Would Orange upgrade me without telling me? My download speeds seem to be over 6MBps, they used to be about 3 - 4?

I looked on the website at their 20Mbps package, put my number in to test for availability and got..."Hmmm...there seems to be an order for that number already"

Not my me there hasn't.

0.33 Mps is about right as an upload speed, its always a much smaller figure, unless you are paying for a special connection.
Also Spyware doctor isnt a proper Anti Virus solution on its own, you need a decent AV first.

0.3 Mb is about as fast as you will get with upload.

ISPs are not going to give you a quick upload speed unfortunately.

On my (up to) 8mb line I get average 6mb download speeds and average 1mb upload speeds (sometimes as high as 1.2). I don't pay any extra for the upload.

Test run just now.

That's pretty good. My router says it's connected at 5.0 Mb/s, about the best I ever see these days, and these are my speeds:

I guess contention must be pretty high in this area.
