I appear to have picked us a puncture in the last day or two, with the tIre losing about 4-6psi over my 260 mile trek today.

I have Cadwell booked Saturday, I plan to go and get it sorted tomorrow.

Question is, if it is reparable, is a repair sufficient for track use?

The current tires have little wear, I don't want to spend out if I don't need to, but should I? Is it a risk if repaired?

Thanks in advance for any advice...

Depends where there puncture is. It sounds like a very slow release so the hole maybe tiny (or the foreign object is still stuck in there) and if its in the middle of the tyre I would repair it and run with it.

Anywhere near the shoulders and I would not risk it.

yep agree

ive run with a puncture repair a few times no issue. its got to be in te tyre tread and NOT in the shoulder fo course and make sure it is plugged and glued properly.

Of course it could just be something in the valve...

...either way to the local tyre place, find the problem, make decision. smile

Cheers for the advice chaps.

Hopefully not a sidewall puncture then! smile
