Reading on, I think its more a case of "meet the new boss...same as the old boss..."
You'll recall thet Todt (French) worked for the Peugeot rally team before working for Ferrari??

It seems a case of good news and bad news. Mosley surrounded himself with sycophants in the last few years, causing all sorts of problems. When it was just him and puppet-master Eccs things weren't too bad for the spectators. Once Mosley went off on his own - delusions of adequacy? - things fell apart.
Todt might be seen as starting off surrounding himself with his own men.

It appears that all is not lost for David Miliband's Constituency Chairman. He still has a sinecure at the FIA:
One does wonder how the same person can be the Executive Chairman of what is supposedly an active, relationship-heavy private company and simultaneously undertake significant responsibilities at the FIA. Could it be because Sovereign Strategy and the FIA are in the same place?

Sovereign Strategy - located in London, Newcastle, Brussels, Kuwait and Iceland. Interesting choice of places for one's offices.
By the way, in case anyone was wondering how Donnelly himself pitched his former FIA role that was described by patron Mosley as merely his "non-voting" "representative" at races:
Now that Donnelly has been deflected away from motor sport and instead will be inserting himself into public driving issues that affect every one of us, one wonders when the delightful Richard Woods will rise to the surface. One is sceptical that he resigned his position at the FIA in order only to assist Todt's election campaign out of pure principle (and we know there were no pure principals, either).
