We've two girl cats, rescues, and very skittish/shy.

Recently a new family moved in a few houses away, bringing with them the most god awful ugly Maine Coon tomcat, who spends the majority of the day trying to attack our cats. The girls sleep in our bedroom during the day, and the tomcat has taken to sitting on the windowsill staring at them.

Several times he's attacked them as they've gone out of the catflap. He's also cornered one and it was fortunate I happened along as it was turning very nasty.

However, despite my best efforts, I've not yet managed to get close enough to string the fker up by the balls, and as we've two young kids, I'm not allowed an air rifle.

Are there any ways to:

a) dissuade this tomcat from messing with our cats

b) teach my cats to bhslap him in a psycho ninja cat manner?

Anything that doesn't involve the police or too much in the way of bloody mess would be appreciated

Does he still have his balls?
WE had this problem at our old house and managed to see him off with buckets of water everytime he came anywhere near the garden. We were also tempted to tie a note around his neck saying that if his balls weren't gone the next time he visited we would take him to the local PDSA and have them chopped off.

yep, you need to make your garden/property an unpleasant place for him to be. A good squirt from the hose a few times will probably dissuade him from hanging around.

Mind you - you'd better hope he doesn't turn nasty - Maine Coon's can be BIG !

Definately not out for love, just anger.

And yes, the septics have a strange way with breed names....

Whenever we open the back door the fker runs off sharpish, so not much hope of a dousing. Or a hanging/microwaving/tumble drying.

Oh, and we think it's a MC/Persian cross, as it really is an ugly fecker, big, but not mahoosive.

If I had the cash i'd be purchasing a male Bengal kitten and training it up to be a badass mutha fka ninja killer. And shy, small, bh cat pimp. I'd also change my name to Fiddy.

We had a similar problem with a fker that ran away as soon as he saw us.

Didn't see me tipping the bucket of water over him from the bedroom window.

I had a similar situation a couple of years ago when someone moved in a few doors down with a million cats (maybe 6 or 7) and got one of these and sited it near their route through my garden.

It seemed to work and was also massively entertaining to watch biggrin

sounds perfect, however, although I'm not even close to middle aged, let alone old, I own a bungalow!

Also, love the flamethrower, and I'm assuming all blood would be boiled/burnt, therefore meeting the requirement of no bloody mess. Pretty sure I'd have a PCSO or traffic warden round sharpish to levy some form of fine however.

C'mon people, it's Friday night, surely there's someone with an alcohol fuelled idea that can only be described using the words genius, evil and elegant!

How so? Do cats hate lemon?
