Anyone been to Bulgaria?

Hi,
Looking at a week in Bulgaria (Sunny Beach) come September and was wondering if anyone else has had a holiday there before? The hotels seem good value for money and i can fly from the local airport, but i have a feeling that there'll be just a beach and nothing else!

Mate of mine just got back from a skiing holiday. Said he'd never go back. Expensive, people are unfriendly, and it's still hiding behind the Iron Curtain.

Depends what you're looking for really. I found it to be a chav infested hole.

Think ayia napa/falaraki. Cafe's everywhere just selling full english breakfasts and everything with chips.

There is an old town nearby (Nessebar?) which is a lot nicer.
