Just installed crashplan.... its great!

solaris, linux, mac and windows - backup to your own (or to a friends pc) for free or to their servers for low cost.
You can encrypt the backups and schedule transfers during the night. Will also work across LAN for quick & easy backups between machines.

www.crashplan.com

Happy (free) user, no links etc.

I just started using Amazon's S3 service which is similar. Currently costs about $0.15/GB/month.

There doesnt seem to be a limit.... if its your own/friends pcs. Will obviously take some time if you use the internet.

Looks to only be free for 30 days.

I found a good solutions which was to sign up to Microsofts skydrive (25GB), using download Gladinet Desktop free, which then enables you to use skydrive as a webdrive.

No, only the backup to their server is free for 30 days. Backup to friends or your pcs has no time limit
