Hi all. I need to do a credit check on a European company (in Latvia). I believe they are part of the EU but I have no idea how I can find out about them.

Anyone know what their 'Companies House' equivalent is?

Thanks

Spent too much of my life in that end of Europe, and generally speaking, I'd say you need a local to help.

Bit of lateral thinking, look for a FORUM with Latvian user and ask them how to do it...or to help. Some of the expat websites may have country segments, etc. and FORUM users tend to be decent types.

Also British Embassy usually have spin-off departments for Commercial trade, etc and they might be good source of info and contacts. http://ukinlatvia.fco.gov.uk/en/ and more likely http://ukinlatvia.fco.gov.uk/en/doing-business/con...

Good luck.

I often have to look into foregin companiesa at work.

I find the list of company registers at http://www.rba.co.uk/sources/registers.htm to be useful.

It seems there is a Latvian company register at http://www.lursoft.lv/be_informed.html although I have nver used this before myself so can not comment on how good / bad it is.

Good luck!
