Just been down to my local dealer and they have an M3 Monte Carlo for sale, spec is priced list to £60k, DCT, EDC etc. I said I was interested but would prefer an Alpine one which they think they have in the network. I had seen a previous thread which seemed to have these going for about £50k in December. What should I be pushing for? I said it would need to be £50 to £50.5 at most and he didn't bat an eyelid.

There was money behind M3 Registrations up to the end of the year for dealers that hit their target bonus, don't know if that's still the case or what allocation BMW GB has mandated the biggest groups with for M product this year and it's distribution across the trimesters they work on for target. I would think that low 50s would be a decent position.

Barons have 2 alpine whites in their showroom and based upon recent experience they are keen for business. They also have a monte carlo car but the interior is a bit dull... theres something about the white stitching on the alpine whites - lovely cars!

Park Lane have an Alpine White on in their showroom up for £60k.

Agree that the white stripe on the seats looks awesome.

They had an Imola Yellow one in there for a couple of months which I presume they managed to move on.

The only Editions available now are cars already in stock (from what I was told yesterday.)

Also, fwiw, the guy at Coopers yesterday didn't bat an eyelid when I mentioned that I knew brand new, fully specced cars could be had for £50k so don't pay any more than that.

There was on offer ( I took it) in december £2500.00 extra off list, I specced mine up too £59200.00, and paid £50K, this did include the £2500.00 allowance though. Never the less a good saving, mine is the M-DCT with EDC E90 Saloon in AW of course.

Coopers will NOT give a discount, I know I have given them a wide birth, totally up themselves.

Coopers in Reading will. Have been quite impressed with them so far in my search.

Deal done today. £50,500 for a Alpine White Edition with DCT, EDC, Bluetooth, DAB, Heated Seats, Folding Mirrors, USB and Sliding Centre Arm rest. Total list was just under £61k. I did call around a couple of other dealers that I know quite well and none were prepared to do a better deal, or even match. Clearly there are still a lot around so looks like if you push hard you can still get them at this price. The dealer also offered me a Monte Carlo Blue one of similar spec for nearly the same price.

I bought a used car from this dealership a few years ago and struggled to get the smallest discount from them. Having my wife with me didn't help, she's far too enthusiastic when it comes to buying anything. I would have just walked away and waited for them to get back to me.

Merely just saying they have an edition. I went to buy an M3 from them in July '08 and was treated, to put it mildy, like st.

I then went to Listers in Kings Lynn where I could not have been treated better. Guess who my order went to?

I agree with you 100%, Coopers Norwich should not be visited.
