shot of the 57 TR
Discussion
Is that an original or recreation? I have seen many 250 TRs that are not what they appear to be. The 250 TR pictured bellow was shown to me 3 years ago at a ferrari specialist (288 Forza). I was guaranteed that it was a genuine factory model. It turns out after further investigation that it was a recreation
bloody so called specialists.
Can you shed any more light on this car? Serial number at all? Was it the one that was sold at auction last month? I know that there is a white one advertised for auction at maranello in the classic car mags, is this the one?

yeh its a recreation and yes he found the keys and charged it
So it is not actually a 57 TR then.....Do you know what engine it has?
), so at a guess I'd say its got a 250 PF motor rebuilt to TR spec.Irrespective of what it left Maranello as, it's a lovely looking car

Kyle is he going to put red pegasus stickers on it (the winged horse)? as there was a white TR in period that had them

From when DK sold it last year:
"The car was built by DK Engineering for David Cottingham’s own personal use, alongside the restoration of an original car between 1994 and 1996, and was first registered on 25/9/96.
The donor car was a 1957 Ferrari 250GT with the chassis number 0803GT which was completely dismantled by DK Engineering in 1994.
The car was built to be as close a copy as possible to an original in RHD configuration. DK Engineering had restored several original cars previously to this. This therefore meant that DK had access to, or the actual tooling for: many parts such as a chassis jig, body jig and various key components. The car embodies many original TR parts, the engine has a genuine 128LM crank case and 1958 spec TR cylinder heads."
i.e. new chassis and body that is 99% coorect and as per original.
I've heard there are some cheeky videos of it on you tube in its former colour scheme....
