Anyone still looking to book for Le Mans 24hr 2010, might be interested to know Speedchills are now Official Agents for the ACO, and as such are offering not only their two secure private camp sites at Beausejour and Blue Sud with the usual trappings like a cash bar serving cold beersbeer, fully operational kitchens serving the best full English you'll find at Le Mans AND dinners all freshly cooked for youlick, but are also offering packages to Maison Blanche and Houx as well!

So if you are looking for the all in secure comfort or just a straight camping and tickets package for two of the favoured campsites, just get along to www.speedchills.com and have a look!

Not long now!

See you there thumbup

Justin are the packages at Houx and Maison Blanche going to have similar hospitality facilities like Bleu Sud and Beausejour?

Not as far as I am aware, however Im sure the membership to use the facilities on both the other sites will be available, this will entitle you to use the bar and food as much as you'd want to. The race is shown on large screen T.V's and the odd celeb has been know to drop in biggrin. Plus the Speedchills girls, what more could you ask for???

Cheers for getting back justin. Will there be speedchills toilets and showers like there was on Bleu Sud last year?

Better ones apparently, not sure if that means more or just bigger but Im assured they are the same as we get on our site at Beausejour. Also Im told there is now CCTV to back up security on both Speedchills sites! Not bad for a field in France eh??

Justin, I've been trying to make my mind up about which site to go on. I will probably go with speedchills again but im unsure as to which site we will stay at. I was on your site last year on bleu sud, the problem I have is that I liked having the facilities that we had ie clean toilets and showers - which is quite important.

However looking at the reviews on beermountain, Houx is meant to be an excellent site. So all im trying to find out is if the toilet and wash facalities are going to be similar to the ones on other speedchills site if so I think this way be the way forward.

I cant vouch for Houx or its facilities but thats the beauty of choice really, we can choose where and when but what we find when we get there, who knows for sure? I hope you enjoyed the chilled atmosphere last year as I think with the band who are booked this year for Bleu Sud there will be more of a party on site! Something to think about?

I think I will probably plump for Bleu Sud again and go and have a look for myself at the other sites to get an idea for the years to come. Justin which site are you on this year?

Im actually doing the speccy bit myself this year! Otherwise would be Bleu Sud, although as camp commandant I couldnt say! Im taking my Dad after a twenty one year old promise made at Spa 1000km in 1989, he took me to Spa, I'd take him to Le Mans. So, due to his age and physical ability, we are staying off site in a Gites. We will be frequenting Blue Sud to avail ourselves of the fine facilities there!beer So hope to catch up then!biggrin

Tom, are you and Nick staying up at Beausejour?

Superb venue. My and 5 others went with them last year and we hope to be going this year.

My main memory was Friday night listening to the really st band ( beers made them sound ok) playing Some Might Say whilst the roof of the marque was on fire. Le Mans at it's best

Never got to hear that band, was too busy at Bleu! Who have a different band booked this year so at least some entertainment! Those who have been with Speedchills for a few years will remember the band as our original one from the days at the farmhouse and our first year at Beausejour!

Guys mind if I ask a question, Looking at the location of Blue sud, does this mean you have to run the daily gauntlet of the 'water pistol', 'wheel spin' and 'rev it' muppets?

Actually, apart from some mildly amusing antics on Mad Friday, it was quiet and access is via the rear of the field so nowhere near the main road, some lads got a bit wet last year but what do you expect if you take your pride and joy out on Friday??

There is an interactive map on the website, http://www.speedchills.com/lm24_speed_chills_locat... , and the entrance to Bleu Sud is off Rue La Heronierre just off the main drag past Maison Blanche campsite.

Thanks thumbup
Having looked at the map it seems there is a road that goes across the end of the Airport runway, can you get in and out of the site using that road instead of having to run the gauntlet up the long straight past maison blanc
