Well, i had never heard of the club or the event before the kryptic thread title and op !

The web site doesnt tell me much though. Anyone want to expand a bit on what it is and how to join in ?

Basically you are given a 50 or so mile route given in code form which you have to follow while writing down milages on road signs to prove you have been to the correct points.

Through out the 2 hours ish you have about 8 time controls where you have to make sure you don't book in too early or late.

The person who has lost the least time through the route wins.

A good nights driving fun for not alot of cash.

Usual things out. Mk2 escorts, i'm taking my Rally Proton out etc etc.

Any car can be used. But as the route is down tight and narrow single track roads the chim may not be advised

Oh and the only equipment you need is an OS Landranger map or map(s) and a watch.

I want to try to get into this. Just got to get the house renovated first, but will be keeping my eye on things.

I'll probably be driving home from work along the A69 around that time, so if I'm not still in a meeting I'll definitely come down and have a look.

Having read a bit more on the site, this looks like good fun! Unfortunately my DSG gear box blew up last week, so the car's in the garage at the moment but I'd love to try the one in February.

Cheers mate - just realised who you are! Car's still in the garage but they say it should be finished today.

So are there any photos from the event? How did someone end up rolling??!!
