Gordon Brown AND Brian Cowen in the same room? I think we have found the perfect example of a knowledge vacuum.

Maybe this is Winky's new tactic. If he can't actually increase his intelligence, he can spend time sitting near people who are even less competent than he is.

That's rather a giant leap of prediction to make.

Able to leap a yawning budget gap in one giant bound

Faster than a plummeting balance of payments deficit

Is it a bird?

Is it a plane?

No, it's SuperGordo

"IRA to reform and start operations"

That's quite a sensationalist headline for what amounts to (shock horror) a disagreement between two opposing political parties. OP, you're not a journalist by any chance?laugh

Look winky is involved and wants to take the peace process forward

Can you see any other outcome?

I'm not averse to a bit of Winky bashing but to suggest this could lead to the IRA reforming is just wrong. They couldn't aford it anyway, Winky will dream up a balaclava tax or something, that'll stop 'em hehe

They will never be called the IRA again. The word is "dissadents".

The same ones that shot at Crossmaglen PSNI station last night.

Even though they are the same people as were in the IRA, it had nothing to do with the breakdown in talks.

Its so funny in a way, since the official IRA have stopped they can do whatever they want and they arent terrorists anymore.

Al Qaeda should change their name to "Dissident Islamists" and they could kill soldiers, shoot police officers, bomb police officers cars and leave carbombs and roadside bombs, sorry "IEDs" about the place and nothing would happen to them! Nobody gives a toss anymore because Englands safe, just like it used to be before the campaign on the mainland and all terrorists are brown nowadays sure.

I have to say that the Northern Irish are showing a massive inability to manage themselves

Is this yet another reason why I should be feeling guilty for being English. If a bunch of delusional half-wits want to cause mayhem in there own back garden then that's their business. As long as they stay over there then no, I don't give a toss.
