MW2 - I am shocking!!
Discussion
I am generally good at FPs, but after having completed the campaign and moved to Multiplayer am finding it much more difficult. I find that it's much harder to aim having to do without the help of the auto aim I am often spotted and shot before i even see my killer. :@
I remember someone mentioning the d/l and ping of your connection and measured mine. 0.96 Mb/s d/l, 0.24 u/l and 0.36ms ping.
Is the auto aim possible? Also i know it's a noob question, but how do you fire the grenade launcher when it's attached to your primary weapon? I've tried all of the buttons and none do it.
So yes I am king of the noobs. Can't even fire the noob tube.

Anybody tell me if I'm at a disadvantage or if as I suspect, I just need more practice?
Cheers,
Andy

I had similar problems when moving to multiplayer. I was getting absolutely destroyed (although I didn't use autoaim for the campaign, so that wasn't a problem). I have reached a point where I am usually getting at least as many kills as deaths in each game. I think it's just a matter of practice.
I now also avoid free for all and play Sabotage or Domination as I find them a bit more forgiving.

It just takes practise - it took me ages to get used to the aiming with the thumb thing and even now I get it wrong. I am also pretty convinced that some people cheat (aimbot?) - however, if you have a poor ping, leave the server and find one with a better ping, that is 50% of it IMHO (I can get 25 kills to 2-3 deaths on a good ping, but the opposite with a poor ping!).Knowledge of the maps is also useful so you know where people might be hiding to shoot you, and you can be aiming in their direction ready and waiting for them...
After playing single player on MW1 I decided when I got MW2 that I'd go straight into online multiplayer and I basically got handed my arse on a plate !
I've played about 5 hours of multiplay on free for all and have managed to go from being an easy kill to actually winning a few games as well. Ths is the 1st game I've actually played online and I love it !

Haven't played much MW2 yet but I play MW1 quite a lot and I'm not bad. What people do when they first start is spend too much time faffing around with grenades, noob tubes etc. Just use your gun and shoot, you will get far more kills. The key thing when you get ok at aiming is to learn the maps, people run through the same areas over and over again. I was playing TDM the other day and the entire other team ran through the same gap and I just stood there and mowed them all down.
