http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1995-TVR-CERBERA-4-5-TVRS-OW...

suspension sounds like it could be a nightmare if it goes wrong!!

would the 4.5 run better with 4.2 induction?

Funnily enough I was doing some work experience for Autocar when that feature they mention was shot, spent a bitter day up at Brunters and watched them throw the cars down the strip. Maybe it was that day that implanted the Cerb passion into me, certainly the car struck a chord.
A snap from the day with that same Cerb lining up with the mighty XJ, Andrew Frankel at the wheel.

Is it just me or do the headlight surrounds look a bit too big, hope it goes to a good home though. That picture sums up the romance of having a Cerb for me, Small company taking on the big boys.

thought the light housing didn't fit too well myself, also that rear bumper doesn't look very removable to me!

yeah the first cerbs had a different light housing set up. Slightly different / bigger to those fitted when the cars were finally in proper production.
You can see the rear bumpers are removable ie the centre strip in the bumper is akin to those in the early Chimps, except painted.

My Cerb (number 20) has got the removable rear bumper and also the same front end moulding as this car - it you look carefully you'll see that the horizontal bar in the middle of the grill where the number plate bolts on is a separate moulding which is bonded in.

I am raising the subject again. But if the airboxes on the car are genuine, then they look nothing like mine. And i have an early Cerb(13th)

what's the story with the air boxes then?

is it true that the lower windscreen panel is different somehow?

Early 4.2 it also has a one piece scuttle panel. You have to take the wipers off to get the whole panel out.

I've never seen air boxes on a cerb like those before, in any photos. I think they look more elegant than the ones on later 4.2s

i see, yours are green/purple the other ones are silver biggrin
i suppose its possible that if the silver car was a devlopment car it may have been meesed about with and updated over the years. for example it sounds like the scuttle panel on yours is a pain in the arse to remove, if this car was constantly being worked on some factory bod may have thought it a good idea to change to an easier one.

are there any ex-factory staff on here that may have worked on the car

I love cars like this, and they only really exist from manufacturers like TVR. Any other high performance sports car maker - lets say porsche for example - would crush thier development cars and the history of them would be lost forever. Definately a special car, I should think its a rather strong one too performance wise. thumbup

That car has the same intakes as my old one, which was a late 1997 4.2. Are these standard, apart from the cones which came off
