Need some inspiration on this.

My girlfriend is celebrating a 'big' birthday next month.

Before we start;

- She's over 16 and under 30.
- You're not having pictures.
- Yes, she's gorgeous.
- You're still not having pictures.

Now we have that sorted...

She has pretty much everything she 'needs'.

I want a present that she can keep and treasure.

She has all the jewelery and watches (I've taught her well) under the sun.

Anything she genuinely has needed has been taken care of as and when by myself or her.

She's having the party in a bar in town, whole place rented out, food, DJ etc covered.

So I'm looking for some memorable ideas.

There are a two of her closest friends who can't make it, so I want cardboard cut outs of them making up - sounds weird but I think will be funny. How do I go about this?

I'm going to put cameras on all the tables so we have all the memories.

Give me some weird and stupid ideas.

Let's say we have £2,000 to play with.

What the feck can I do? What can I buy her as a present? I'm so stumped.

For the friends picture things find after or take a good digital picture (>5MP) before they go and get it blown up at any good graphic design studio. I have found the places that put stickers on works vans quite hepful before. They will probably mount it for you as well (for a price).

It's got to be something she can keep.

It's the weekend after Valentines weekend and we are going away for that.

Money isn't necessarily the thing here because I know for a fact she'd love me to make something for her, put some thought into it... I know I'm cheating by posting here but I'm not artistic any I have a st imagination.

To be honest...seems like she has EVERYTHING already wink

But how about lightly questioning her on something she has always meant to do but has never had the chance to yet. For example, mine would be to drive a Skyline R34 for the day, obviously I would expect her thing to be much different but if my GF got me a drive in one for the day it would be a fantastic and lasting memory of finally doing something I have wanted for a long time.

Does not have to be expensive or outside of what she COULD do on her own. Just something she has always wanted/wanted to do but never had the time or oppertunity.

get all her friends and family to hold up a piece of card with something nice about her, what she means to them, a favourite memory, etc etc. take a photo of them holding the card and either put them all in a frame. get a really nice frame and have it all done professionally, we are not talking clip frame here.... then it will take pride of place on her wall. the family and friends will like doing it, she will love it, you get a gold star.

simple but effective. money cant buy etc etc...

2k for a present she can keep and treasure? A diamond ring? (how serious are you about her? I mean, 2k on a pressie sounds fairly serious to me, so this would be a birthday she wouldn't forget).

Travelodge. Cocaine. Half a dozen bruvvers round for a gang bang.

You film it all as a keepsake.

At a mates recent wedding, the best man (prior to the wedding) went to all the invited guests houses with a sign with "Love" written on. He took a picture of each guest holding the picture, some in the bath, the garden, on a bike, hanging upside down etc. During the reception the band played All you need is love by the Beatles, best man had slide show playing of all the photos he had taken. Very effective!

It still won't count as a foursome you know. wink

This might seem a long shot but if you like her so much why not get her an engagement ring?

We've spoken about the engagement ring idea, she's turning 21, starting her career, done the uni thing etc etc. I'm 24 just getting myself established. I don't think we're quite there yet.
