I would like a couple of tickets for a west end show this Saturday eve. What is the best affordable way of buying them? A couple of shows I'm interested in are showing "Sold out", although I would imagine some of the ticket agencies have bought out allocations? Anyone with any experience on these matters, like to share? Should I book now or should I just show at the last minute?

TIA.

Isn't there a little hut at the end of Shaftesbury Avenue that does cancellations/last minute/etc tickets?

Failing that, the concierge of your hotel, if you're staying in the smoke.

We're not too far away so will be taking the train in early afternoon for lunch and stuff. I've seen the huts offering cheaper tickets but always thought because they're aimed at tourists in the tourist areas they might not be as reasonable and there might be a way of getting more affordable tickets from another source.
