Hi
after 18 months without the Lotus Cup 240 I am coming back to the fols. Question is should I get a 260 or buy a slightly older Exige S and send it to Hangar 111 to get the 300hp Komotec upgrade??

Anyone on here got one of these, love to hear first hand owners thoughts.

Older and 300bhp, no question in my mind.

I wouldn't bother with either,

Buy a Lotus Exige S say around 25k for a nice 07 plate car then : http://www.oakmeremotorgroup.co.uk/lotus/offers/vi...

You can change other bits and bobs tailored to your requirements

Buy my 111R with Motec ECU then you can do whatever you want to it and get it mapped at any reputable tunner. The Motec has a lot more scope for tunning than the crappy Lotus ECU.

Boggy - any idea of the cost? I was toying with the idea of the komo-tec 280 to prevent my 06 "S" falling foul of the inevitable 2 year car change itch, but it is a lot of money and I don't fancy all that water pipework in the sills etc.

I have emailed them, but thought you may know off hand?

Bloody good value, £1500 and it's an official Lotus product

I'm driving up there tomorrow and having the 111R\Exige N/A performance kit fitted to my R : http://www.oakmeremotorgroup.co.uk/lotus/service-o...

It's about time Lotus latched onto the upgrades properly, they can clear up with this and put an end to the moaning

No figures mentioned though so what do you actually get? A TRD box, a 3rd party exhaust and a LMS ECU reflash with no dyno to prove anything?

All good value if you want those bits but do they actually do anything?

The N/A kit is only £675.

For £1,560 they carry out some of the PP240 car engine mods (I think?) - larger injectors, new ECU and hi-flow fuel pump plus the TRD airbox.

Only negative thought I have at the moment is;-

On the PP240 (and Cup 260?), Lotus fit bigger brakes and an uprated clutch. I'm not worried about the brakes, but what do people think about the clutch staying standard?
