I suppose I should answer my own question really. I never had an imaginary friend. Though I did have low self-esteem so I had an imaginary bully.

My imaginary friend is called Magoo, and I get on with him excellently - despite 26 years of trying friendship.

He always seems to do things that wind up my OH though - like making me buy 'silly' cars and generally never tidying up after himself, and as such she hates Magoo.......I think she is just jealous to be honest. hehe

Depends how pissed off she gets being left tied up in the basement...

At the mo she bears an uncanny resemblance to Billie Piper.

Mine was called Boyo and I sent him to prison. Aged 3.

Mum loves that story. They've no idea where I got that idea from.

Mine was called Piquet.

Fortunately I was spared the scaring when I realised that there was no point in having an imaginary friend before I was old enough to realise what a censored he was.

He didn't deliberately crash your car did he?

Funny you should say that.

I'm sure it was him that held the controller down and trashed my first Scalextric RS1 frown
