It really depends on your sales environment and your requirements.
Retail shop, trade counter, restaurant (or something else)?
Single or multiple till?
Do you require integration with stock control and integration with accounts software?
Do you need to integrate stock with an on line store?
Are you going to be using bar codes?
Do you want an integrated till or are you happy with a separates system connected to a PC?

Really looking for hardware.. we have an Epos solution built into the Warehousing infrastructure.
Was looking at just building ourselves with parts.. its touch screeen enabled so was looking at at windows 7 touch pc affair.
