......i'm really not that lazy, honest, but fancied getting something a little different for my good lady this year. I'm fed up with the same old pics, roses etc etc.

I don't get her anything for Valentines day, She gets Christmas and her Birthday, I don't get an extra day to be given presents every year so why should she.

Although we did have a really nice weekend in Bath last year!

I am not getting into this. Ignore my advice on Valentine's day. I got it wrong a couple of years ago, and had my arse handed to me on a plate by my then girlfriend.

Safe this year:

a) it's my Godson's christening that weekend, so down in the country all weekend by request.

b) have messed up all OH action with ill advised behaviour last week, so most likely single for VD.

I consider both to be blessings.

Me and the OH discussed this the other night. Said neither of would bother as it is just a shopping scam. This probably sounds silly but we really can't see the point in spending over inflated prices on stuff we do anyway, i.e. eat out at restaurants sometimes, buy each other a little prezzie etc.
