£3K each for a return flight to NZ in economy? Are they sure?
that seems a bit wrong if this is true : Passengers will pay the standard economy fare for two seats and receive the middle seat for about half pricequite a cool idea though there will be lots of humping in economy!

My reading of it was £3k for 2 which is £1500 each, as against the standard economy fare of £900ish, so you are paying a bit extra for the bed, but not as much as first or business class.Slightly bad timing for me as I flew with Air NZ to Auckland before Christmas, and would have loved to have had a lie down. We thought Air NZ were great though - nice food and wine, and excellent in flight entertainment - a choice of 78 films and lots more TV programmes etc.
our economy flights to NZ just before was Christmas were £1500 per seat.Admittedly that's high season but I return home to NZ every two years & £1400 - £1500 economy is pretty standard around Christmas. Those lower priced fares you see advertised are often at low season with minimal notice - really just unsold seats pitched at the spontaneous long-haul traveller. At least the high prices & the distance keeps most of the chavs away, so I don't think there'll be has much amorous activity on the sky couches as there would be if they were provided on a Monarch flight to Malaga!
