Ok so I took the plunge a while back, but a horrible thought has just struck me.....when I reach Level 70 on 1st prestige, does it automatically zero me again and put me into 2nd prestige or does it ask me if I want to again?

You lose all your achievemnets though. So if you have got Nukes and want to get the emblem, do not prestige. You will lose them all!!!

You don't lose all your emblems or call signs but you lose all the bonus points etc & all your guns.

Yeah, but I think the point was, if you haven't got emblems towards which you have challenges running, then, because it resets the challenges, you have to start them from scratch.

Is it me or is it taking a hell of alot longer to get round to prestige this time.

I know its 70 rather than 55 levels but it still seems to be taking a hell of a lot longer - i'm on well over 2 days of play and still only about 65.

On MW1 I coud get through a prestige in just under a day roughly.

So if you lose all of your good stuff, guns etc, when moving up prestige levels, what is the point of doing it?

Please forgive me, I'm only on 17 boxedin

You get different emblems and extra custom class slots

Definitely. Level 0-35 in no time 35-70 takes aaaaagggggeeeesss. I think they should have left it at 55 but they obviously are trying to up it from COD5.

I don't think I'll bother prestiging this time - been on level 70 for 3 weeks now. The extra custom classes would be nice, but I usually have a class for every situation and, if need be, I can reconfigure one while waiting for the next map. The emblems and titles look nice but don't mean anything, as boosters have rendered the whole 'reward for skill and effort' thing useless.

I'm happy being 'Infected' and spreading the love with my blade. Just don't stab anyone with an 'STD' callsign (oh go on then, I dare ya!)!

What is the whole deal with these infected tags?

and the STD one?

I've got stabbed an apparently got infected.
and then got stabbed again and the infection was complete or something along those lines?

Anyone know?

And while i'm at it does anyone have a link to a description for each logo and tag for how to get them?

It's purely for bragging rights, if you can call spending far too much time playing games, bragging. All you have to do to reach Prestige 10 is keep playing. smile

The extra custom slots will be useful though.

If you get stabbed by somebody with the 'Infected' tag active, you get infected and collect the tag too.

If you stick your knife into someone with 'STD', you get an STD too (fnarr fnarr).

That link in the post above explains most of the emblems/callsigns - some are quite random, but the STD one is probably the funniest.

Which begs the question: How did the STD one start? Who had it first?

I understand that the 'infected' and 'STD' diseases were linked to a random game code. i.e. a single copy of the game had this. That person then started the infection going.

They started it to see how long it would take for everyone to get it, I believe
