New Prices

Can someone please give me a rough inkling of what the new price list was in 2006 please.

I'm looking at some of the things in the classifieds and trying to figure out what the line up was and what %age the cars have retained over the last few years. (also trying to figure out the disparity or lack thereof between the models)

So my belief is in order:

Tamora
T350
Tuscan 2
Sagaris

And a guess at their prices would be
£35k
£40k
£45k
£55-60k

Tamora is about right, depending on what spec, paint etc, this could go up, but assume you are aiming at basic list price.

Yes please. I was just surprised that T350's are asking the same as good Tuscan 2's. I thought they were a model down, though I'm thinking I may have been wrong about this.

The T350 targas were a 2k option. IIRC mine with a/con and full hide had a list of circa 42k. I'd have to double check though.

Hard to guage residuals accurately - take the Griff for example, essentially the same as a Chim yet around 50% more to buy now. I guess its down to popularity, personally I much prefer the T350 to the Tuscan 2 and would pay more for one.

Plus a Tuscan 2 in base spec came with the same 3.6l S6 engine, nothing else on the car was 'better' than a T350 either so again it's hard to say it was a model down from a 350, more just another car in the line up. A 4.0S on the other hand or a Saggy then obviously it's far easier to put them ahead.

I think it was just TVR trying to seperate the line up, Tuscans are longer, bigger boot and had the 4.0l in the line up where the T350 didn't (unless you asked for a 'special'). Just because the base Tuscan had the 3.6 wouldn't mean it should cost the same as the T350. Using that logic a BMW 120d would cost the same as a 520d... which it doesn't, i've checked

For info, Tuscan 2 convertibles were £40k in standard trim and £50k in 'S' spec. Mine with the factory full leather, Air-con, 18 inch alloys and pearl paint was circa £45k.

A Tuscan at 40k is gr8 value. I bought a chim 450 in jan 98 and it cost me 32.5k from memory. If you take the actual inflation rates for next 10 yrs then the chim would cost about 40k. Bearing in mind the cost of a Tuscan engine to build, the warranty costs they had incurred etc then I think the tuscan looks gr8 value IMHO!

Not sure on the others but a T350c was £38,500 list. T350t was £40,500 and aircon was a £2k option. I'm not sure how many of the Targas produced were specced with aircon as I think most buyers spent the £2k on the targa panels and didn't bother with aircon.

Spectraflair / Reflex paint was also around £2-3k IIRC.

Offical 2005 Pricelist.. 3.6 Tuscan Convert never produced and all Mk2s became 4 litre.

Tamora and T350 were no longer in production in 2006. I think they ceased production not long after NS took over?

Here's what is probably the last price list dated 01/05/2006 and listed are Tuscan Targa 4.0, Tuscan Convertible 4.0 and Sagaris.

I've got the 2007 pricelist but dare not post it (since it was never issued)...but if you had wanted a Supercharged Typhon in 2005 this was the cost ... but you would never have got it

Love the prices of the 'Ultra-high performance' gearbox and diff at £33,995 and £14,995 respectively you could have nearly had a Sagaris for that....

Looking at the 2005 price list then mine was £40'500 plus £1930 for a/c and plus £2,280 for full hide making a grand total of almost £45k!

My car (2006) Tuscan s convert was up for sale new at £53,999 i did not pay that for it as it seemed a lot of money so we had a deal, as the dealer needed to shift it to make his quoter

Just noticed that is the 2007 Pricelist (produced in late 2006) that was never issued since the factory closed Jan'07. Reason for rise in Sag price was Air Con became a standard feature rather than a chargeable one.

Which was a similar price to the last 100 Griffs
