They nearly all are Andy, but reputedly a few kits from Ford aren't handed if memory of past Phistory serves me right wink

Hi Quinny,
Drivers side is a normal handed thread nut. I'm in the process of reassembling the rear of mine just had he wishbones back from the powdercoater. Rear bearing part number from Unipart is ghk1556 cost me £42 ish for the pair the other day but the nuts are not handed in this kit. However they sold me a QH bearing QWB532 which had both handed nuts in the kit between the two kits it's sorted the problem.

I noticed from you videos that you changed the uj's could you post the part number please I might as well do these since they don't look like they have ever been greased.

Also any one know the part number for the drive shaft uj's and anyway of testing. I have a knocking/clicking noise passanger side and I'm convinced it's a uj but having dissassambled I cannot detect any wear by twisting.

nice man at unipart mentioned to say I was in the "trade" and gave a disscount wink
Thanks
Steve

Not cheap, but this is what mines running and they've been excellent and I do the mileage . . .

There maybe cheaper sources of course . . .

The only part No I have for the Prop Uj's Is Hardy Spicer Part No U166...
As I understood it they only make one kind now - without grease nipples (or was it with???) Doesn't really make too much difference IMHO - used to find the grease bled out in places before reaching the other parts anyway so was never sure if they worth it rather than just changing frequently (every 5 years maybe?).

Only way to get greaser through em properly in my experience is off the car . . . so you can manipulate the UJ until you get the old grease being pushed out. Even then it's hit and miss.

Often change the normal grease gun nipple fitting for a finer needle/syringe fitting IYSWIM, that way you can shift slightly less grease and have less grief with it pouring out at the nipple instead of the UJ caps.

Due to change mine soon, they are over 9yrs old so it's due . . .

The general bearing specialist (Spire Bearings) I always get stuff from orders them up, hence I have to wait a bit to piggyback on order - cheapskate I am hehe. He spotted last year that one version was discontinued and just referred to the other.. There may still be old stock around, or even HS start making them again.. I was really making the point that I don't think it matters whether they have nipples or not, better to grease the rollers as you fit them and schedule replacement (they're not exactly expensive even though prices have escalated) if you have the prop out. More a planning thing to put on your list IYSWIM wink

I;m sure you know what to do Quinny, but keep pushing in the grease until you get it out from all round the cap ends. It's quite satisfying in a long boring process kinda way when you finally get the old st pushed out and see the new stuff coming through.

If you can't get it to come through at a certain point even after lot's of mucking about I'd definitely consider changing them as it may be dry and the pin rollers may have already started to distort/wear etc. . .
