Firstly, I declare I know nothing about mobile phones. Currently use a SE K800i on PAYG. Started using a few more minutes lately and decided I'll move over to contract. I don't really need more minutes/texts than some of the £10/month offers (gve or take), but I don't know which phone to go for. Reading reviews suggests that all crash/freeze. I've narrowed it to a Nokia 5800 (about £100 for the phone), a HTC Touch or Samsung Tocco light. (I Phone is definitely out, can't justify the monthly cost)

I've got a Nokia 6303 and it's actually quite a good bit of kit - nothing flash, no touch screens but a long battery life and even makes and receives phone calls - imagine that!

Have actually seen Tesco advertising it on 2 £15 deals, one on O2 100 minutes and unlimited texts and one on Vodafone, 300 mins and unlimited texts - phone free on both I believe.

The Tocco Lite is essentially the same as the Genio Touch, which is available FOC on loads of cheap contracts.

The Genio is the newer model, ever so slightly slicker in use but with a 2MP camera as opposed to 3MP.
