Anyone guess what I got upto for three hours Sunday morning? I was worn out afterwards! To some, it may seem a waste of time. How about you guys...?

Ed

Haven't got the pictures, but after using the Autoglym Resin polish, my neighbour actually thought I had spent several hundred pounds getting a 'micron thick teflon coating to protect the body work'. No, bit of patience and elbow grease!

I forgot to lend you that tub of Zymol on Saturday. Still, the Autoglym seems to have done the trick

Good point!

The lanes of Stoke Row/Checkendon/Goring Heath will soon echo to the sound of another sports exhaust!

Must check the dealer is on track for collection on Friday...

yup three hrs well spent, must say Turtlewax with the colour in brings my blue tuscan up like no other. Especially as it seems to add depth and a purple tint in the petrol station at night, most excellent.

something I've been wondering for some time:

how many times can one use Autoglym?

I know turtlewax should be used no more than once a year since it takes off a little bit of the paint every time

is this the same for Autoglym?

Shouldn't make any difference as it adds a layer of wax. They do a Glossy wax coat thing as well which keeps the shine for longer. You need to wax it first though.

Did the same with my Griff on Saturday, then used the Hi gloss sealant from Autoglym, brings it up even better.

Thought it looked so good I decided to do my BM, then the wife demanded that her car was done as well!!

I've now got one arm bigger than the other from all that polishing...

Nice work Mr T. Just think with Zymol it could even be better (no commission accepted).

Great Job...did you get any lip from the missus along the lines of "well if you're that good at cleaning..." ?

I'm also impressed with the quality of the Photos. What camera did you use? If it wasn't a digital camera what equipment did you use to get the photos on the web?

Awesome pictures Ed. Probably one of the best Autoglym'd cars I've seen for a long time.

I've junked my Zymol now in replacement for some more
stuff from the US, Pinnacle Souveran.

Its soooo easy to work with compared to Zymol, but yet offers the same Carnauba shine. I've got to pinch a mate's camera because mine is awful at taking pictures, but when i do i'll post some pics up on here as well.

I enjoyed this long polish session before picking her up from terminal 3. So no problems there!

Took them all with a Fuji Finepix 2800 - really top affordable digital camera. But the real trick is to know software inside out I'm afraid - I use Macromedia Fireworks; have to learn the optimisation options, the filters etc etc...

Ed – I've got Fireworks 3 and Flash 4 and am still learning – can they really be THAT difficult to get my head round? This timeline thing in Flash is sending me dotty

Finepix 2800 now around £300 but you'll need to cough up for rechageable batteries & charger, nice case, more RAM etc. With 128MB you can get 200 high res snaps - pretty good for a Tuscan/GT day eh?

Fireworks is great for web optimisation - good colour & level balancing (though not as good as pricey photoshop) & the best jpg'er I've come across.

Flash makes you think like the people that made it. Or you'll get nowhere!

Ed

Thats the stuff!

I got mine from Tim at www.tacscar.com. He ships to the UK. This stuff is good. I'll post pics as soon as I can.
