Had the car a week, been in the new house two weeks
and reverse down the drive onto the road, start to
move forward and BANG!

Fecking builders have left a pallet 10feet long blocking
the road on the blind side of the car!

Ripped off the number plate, taken a chunk out
of the underside of the car and scuffed up the upper
side of the bottom section.

They have said they will pay for the work ( damn
right they will!! ) but having just moved to the
Northants area, can anyone recommend anyone to do
the quote and work?

Gutted.

All good ideas and I'll speak with them.

Anyone got anything a little more local?

Sorry to hear about that, Graham... sounds like the Yorkshire TVR curse is heading southwards!

Hi Paddy

Top people at Ewelme, thanks to you and others for
the nod.

Quote goes to the builders Monday and then on to
their insurance company, so it's down to their
speed of action ( or lack of ) after that.

Still, at least I can drive her until they do their
stuff and then she'll be away 3 days.

Hoping to have her done for the next Essex meet, but
sadly might be the week after.

Your car looked all snug in the oven - not long now
and perhaps we can feature the conversion on TCR?!

Go create some weather...

It will be a pleasure to do a 'bit' for the TCR !...seem to be a lot of people asking what was involved, whos doing it, costs etc etc ....look forward to it..(and it would be my first bit of journalism!!).
Cant wait till middle of next week now!
Anyway, lets hope yours gets sorted sooner rather than later...you planning to come to the next mid Essex meet even if its not done?...assuming its not being done at the time...look forward to a longer chat next time!

Builders are paying out in full and the car is off to Ewelme on Monday for repair and respray.

Note to Julian64 - It won't be coming back red!

Thanks to Satman and others for the Ewelme tip.

Have a safe journey down there mate, espcially as you can only see half of whats going on around you!

With a bit of luck the car will be done, the eye will be better, the weather will be fine and i can buy you a birthday drink at the next ME meet!

Thanks Paddy, but it will be going by low loader as I'm not up to the drive.
I have to take it one step at a time.

I will get there though.
