REPLACEMENT DIFF HOW MUCH??

Hi everyone I have a noisy diff that will soon need replacing does anyone have any idea of how much I should expect to pay for one? & if so any recommendations where to buy one from.
The car is a 4.3lt Chim 1995.

get it re-conned for £3-400 by a good gearbox/diff specialist.whilst your at it,if its the salisbury type then get them to fit a more user freindly filler plug as the original is a brd to get at,a std hex head is so much easier.ive often thought that it may be this reason why oil changes are missed leading to premature failure.i change my g/box and diff oil every year now(use special lsd oil also).

As for cost it all depends on what needs replacing.

I had the diff for my Cerbera fully rebuilt for £550 including removal/replacement.

I had mine done at penninsula they were by far the cheapest, it made it worth my while travelling from bedford

Any more ideas before I take the plunge & contact these people? I live in Warrington Cheshire anyone aware of any decent transmission places around here? The car still drives perfectly just the diff is a little noisy whining at speed.

A new one is 900 quid, ex VAT and fitting. Rebuild is definitely the way to go if it can be done.
