After checking the last 10 pages on here and finding nowt about a new starter, I thought I'd ask the question.
What is the best option for a new starter these days? Is it the Tilton ones on Ebay, or the dearer ones in TVR parts, etc that are 2kw or something?

Cheers

When I had problems a few years ago, I went for the Maxim one. See my thread...

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

My last input was.....

Put a brand new one on after spending ages sourcing one. As totallpaul said, its off a Nissan Maxima 3.0 inj V6 88-94 J30 model. Part number ADN 11248. Cost £157+vat. I also came across another part number which according to a lot of shops is the same one, but made by Hella. JS754. Didn't check it, as went on totallpaul's imfo.

If this helps too. The supplier for the ADN 11248 is ADL - 01622 833007 . They cant sell you one, but they can tell you a local shop.

Hope it helps. Tried adding the phone number...but it wont accept.

Did it fit and work OK, standard ones are famed for being tempremental to say the least.

Had mine rebuilt a few months ago and seem good so far.

Yes it was fine, I did the same as Kojak and Tootallpaul and it never missed a beat thereafter, still going strong now I think nearly 4 years later.
