I know most of you know, and I have told you how busy and horrible my job is so I'm off wink well sailing anyway. Please follow my blog and the ships blog along with where we are on route here at www.exercisetransglobe.com I am sailing leg 8 leaving from Auckland, NZ next week after some boat drills and resupplies. We then head round towards Montevideo, Uruguay, our final destination.

This means passing around the infamous Cape Horn and see plenty of wildlife along the way too during our 6000 Nm or so! The boat has limited comms and we will be uploading a blog every few days when we can. I am going to write a diary and unlike most of my messy SAS adventures the boat is dry of booze so I should remember more than normal.

Have a good safe start to the year guys and enjoys the off roading and hoons. I am going to have a lot of ph to catch up on, and a few new cars from some of you.

Fair winds and good sailing to all smile

Alex

We set sail on the 3rd Feb and have to arrive in Ugy by 13th March. But the quicker we get there the more time off to look around once the boat is cleaned and repaired smile going on 7 kts it will take around 35 days.

My personal blog is http://discoverer_al.ontheroad.to but once we leave port it won't be updated till the other end. But then it will be the whole trip diary with photos smile

Bon voyage! wavey

I've said it before Al, but you really do have a hard life biggrin Sure you don't need someone to look after the Tuscan? Looks like I'll be without a plastic car for a little while.

Best of luck mate! Have a brilliant time, it sounds like the most fantastic adventure.

I'll hopefully have found some good 4x4 play areas when you get back (along with the growing SAS 4x4 contingent smile )
