Fancy a decent specced 520d M-Sport 2007 facelift model, don't want to spend more than 13k though and currently around £17-21k so wondering how long till they fall? Think the 520d is the most popular engine so should be lots on the market.

The new F10 model is out in March I think and the May 2007 on models I am after will be out of the standard 3 year warranty soon too so hopeful.

Anyone remember what happend to e39 when e60 came out?

It is a very different world now, financially anyway.

Problem you had was you could get a 50% balloon on the E60 when launched, you are looking at around 30% balloon now, so swapping over is a massive jump cost wise, therefore I think a lot of people who would normally swap will stick with what they have.

Probably by £2-3K per year. A 520d M Sport LCI model is probably the 'optimum' 5 series, so is in strong demand.

I dont think the new £30K+ car will have much impact on £15K cars.

There's a dealer (none franchise) in Doncaster area with a 55 plate 520d for sale at C£12.5k, so there must be plenty about shirley!

So that would be a pre facelift, non LCI, two years older SE model then?

yes
So not terribly relevant to the O/Ps question?

In that it's the price point he refers to and that seems to be what's at that price point.

Keep up the good work.

Even though he specifically wants an exact model - the 07 facelifted LCI 520d M Sport, complete with different external bodykit, diffent headlights, LED taillights, different alloys, different interior, uprated engine, improved suspension, reduced emissions, improved economy, different alloys, improved dynamics, two years younger and still currently under manufacturers warranty?

But other than that, exactly what he was looking for?

His question actually was when might said vehicle reach his price point, not what other random BMWs can be bought for £13K.

Oops. rolleyes

You seem to either forgotten to answer his bit about "what happened to the E39 when the E60 came out" or I guess more likely, you're writing the definitive article on it.

Either way, right now, I'm too dirty and chastised to continue this tosh!
