Re Rear Wheel Bearing Removal Tool
Discussion
Hi All,
I had to change a rear wheel bearing at the weekend on my trailing arm 350i and found that the Porsche (I'll wash my mouth out later) tool I had knocking around did the job a treat. No need to remove the trailing arm from the car or use my usual tool of choice for this job = 4 lb hammer :-)
If you google porsche rear wheel bearing removal tool you'll find various types (and quality)
http://www.etoolcart.com/porschewheelbearingpuller...
http://www.zdmak.com/wbstore/main.asp?action=PROD&...
http://www.arnnworx.com/BearingTool1.htm
some more expensive than others.
Alternatively it wouldn't be particularly difficult to make one like the Arnnworx example
Hope this helps someone
Cheers
Danny

I think it cost me a tenner at my local garage, but this would save taking the suspension to bits (or, at least, some of it). Plus booking the time to do it, picking it up again etc.
Yes the tool looks fairly easy to make, just some threaded rod and a few metal disks. It would pay for itself after a few uses.
