Fed up with this cold weather and I am not hard core enough to BBQ in 0 degrees, thermals & big coat. I want a warm summer, shorts, t-shirt, flip-flops, BBQ fired up, cold beers on tap, big slabs of meat yum

Sounds like you need some Winter Sun, dude! Go South! thumbup

Best by plane though, crossing the equator on a boat involves some 'ceremonies' involving tatooed men and seaweed...

BBQ in the cold is great, also if you have a chiminea fire that up as well. It offers 2 advantages, 1 is the additional heat the other is that it's the best way to cook chicken.

Make sure the chicken breasts are big, splash on a little oil, wrap in foil and drop in the red hot embers. Drink beer as you wait. Perfecto!

I have both, nothing wrong with a sneeky midweek gas BBQ when you don't have time for the whole charcoal melarky

+1.

It's brilliant fun lighting a fire but in the summer we might BBQ three or four times a week. The Gas BBQ makes light work of that.

Cotty, my carnivorous friend..

If it's any consolation, I shall be Q'ing up some spicy-marinaded flank steak for fajitas this evening. All good practice for when you treck out here and eat the contents of the BBQ/smoking freezer.

If last year is anything to go by it won't be much longer before I crack mine out...

It put in an appearance at the end of March last year!
