Isnt it as simple as Cerberas need the ones with 'front' stamped inside them whereas the T cars need 'rear' and 'front' wheels. There are plenty of threads on the Cerbera section. Search might find them...?

From memory, think the offset for the rears are +33 and 42 for the fronts.

Spiders for a Tuscan are ET33 Rear and ET42 Front, I think that Cerbera's use Tuscan front's all round.

Absolutely right, but you can spot the cerbs with T-car rears as the arches are worn out hehe

There are of course 16" spiders as well BTW, similar F/R scenario.

Really silly question so please keep with me...

I am currently selling my Tuscan with the thoughts of getting a Chim 500.

Is it possible to remove the Chims hubs and fit either Tuscan hubs or 5 stud spokes to fit 18" spiders? I know its not going to be as simple as all that but has it been done?

As I love my spiders frown

Lots of people have done the conversion, me included. There is more to it than simply changing hubs. For example you'll need to shorten the half shafts, fit stoppers in the steering rack, get new disks (you really need to upgrade the front disk size too)

Yes you remove the hubs (wheel bearing change type job) and redrill then then knock in 5 studs. Peninsular originally made up rings to fit behind the original (just need little longer studs) & I think TVR copied that solution as part of the factory upgrade to spiders.

Now heres the interesting bit (for me anyway)- TVR actually sourced new hubs from Ford for the first dozen Factory upgrades so there are Fords out there that you can buy proper 5 stud hubs that fit chim/griff carriers. The rub is there have been rumours that they are Jeep, Mustang, Falcon... but I don't think there has ever been a definitive source identified and validated?

Daston have a look at my profile its really not that had to do if you buy a chimaera give me a shout I have a set made up and all I can sell you. You can use Cerb front disc and get the rear disc re drill you will need T rears all round for the chimaera

The reason for the original question was, I have 2 rears here but the offset isn't stamped on one wheel, so wanted to double check?

I have the normal front & rear combination, thats how the factory specified it and even 18" spiders fit fine. The rear disks also came made for 5 studs - pretty much the same as T-series cars.

Wouldn't it be easier to just measure it?
