Diploma of Higher Education - What is it?
Discussion
Most Uni. qualifications go in stages - Certificate, Diploma, Degree. A Diploma would usually be available to someone who completed 2 year of a degree level programme of study.
If accepted, it usually can't be "cashed in" in the future towards another degree (unless the awarding institution has a clearly defined route for that to happen) as it marks a completion point and also, by implication, says that the course was either only 2 years or the person holding it failed to complete the 3rd year for some reason.

It would be useful if it could be used as credit towards a degree or similar. Any others know any more info?
It may allow entry with advanced standing - but each case is different and depends on the local policy and admissions tutor. Best to talk to some Universities directly.Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
