I'm a pretty keen snowboarder as I've being doing it since a lad, though this year is the first time I'll be taking anything which has GPS built in.

I'll be going with a group of close friends to the Grand Valir (Andorra). There are multiple resorts which covers a huge terrain, all linked by the usual forms of stty chair lifts, but it's all good.

I'm hoping to use my iPhone, to record my journeys and save the information (locations, speed, altitude) rather than push it over the network. the reason for this, is the phone is a company phone and I assume I'll get OXO'd with roaming data charges.

So, is there an app which does this?

I've downloaded a few free ones (GPS Tracker, GPSLite), haven't had the chance to see what they really do yet (both seem to want to use the net) though I'm happy to pay a small amount in order to get good information.

I'm hoping some keen members from the pedal section have used similar apps for recording their trails.

So in Summary, is there an app which will SAVE my routes onto the phone memory, which can be uploaded as and when I want. It cannot use wifi/3g or any other sort of networking whilst abroad, only GPS

Cheers all

IIRC from my days of selling personal tracking devices (GPS/LBS), GPS still uses the phone network (Despite it being satellite) so I believe data charges still apply. Could be wrong on that though
