A prison officer has been jailed over an affair she had with an inmate awaiting trial for arranging an acid attack on his ex-girlfriend.Lisa Harris was sentenced to 21 months behind bars after she pleaded guilty to three counts of misconduct in a public office.

The 28-year-old had a fling with "notorious" inmate Daniel Lynch while she worked at Pentonville prison in north London.

ffs i thought jails were full is it really that bad what she has done?!?

Considering Myra Hindley's prison guard lover attempted to set her free, with a copied set of keys, yes.

Yes, it should be a harsher sentence.

A position of trust which was abused.

There was quite a tidy female guard at Durham. She used to stand right outside the showers (which had no doors) during association. It's not a place you want a stiffy.

It might end up never having that climax though, as I never actually got bummed (or bummed anyone else).

Maybe 'climax' was a poor turn of phrase...

I'm sure they'd reduce it if she said 'sorry'.

I work within the prison service and she deserved everything she gets if not more. It is made VERY VERY clear all over prisons that its a big no no to do anything like this and that if you do you WILL get a custodial sentence and yet prison staff still sometimes commit offences such as this which can in turn lead to even worse offences such as smuggling in phones passing on messages to people outside the prison etc.

This too beggars belief such as this article which i correctly predicted pc would win over common sense....

http://www.birminghampost.net/news/west-midlands-n...

I have met female staff who dress and act the way she apparently did in prisons and am constantly stunned theya re allowed to dress the way they do and then be allowed to wander amongst male prisoners etc.

The simple fact in this case is she refused to follow rules set in place for HER safety and when she got in trouble she claimed sex discrimination so she could get a nice compo payout.

All thats wrong with britain today. Next case you will see i suspect will be a Female member of staff suing the prison for not preventing her from being sexually assualted whilst at work.

Damned if they do damned if they dont.rolleyes

fired should have sufficed. people like to have sex so what - is that a jail sentence? - yes its bad as its against the rules hence why she should be sacked but prison??
