Wheels?

Before I get the estorils refurbed I started to wonder about alternatives. I have trawled through the various threads on here to look at what others have done but nothing really grabs me except the 17inch Ford RS wheels that Swanny71 has fitted. I dont want to go down the spider/hub change route so that in the future I can put the standard wheels back on to keep it looking original. Having a yellow Griff the obvious choice is to go for a black/anthracite wheel colour. I like the compromotive CXN but they are mega money but did see these online today and like them : http://www.alloywheels.com/product.asp?P_ID=2072&a... (sorry about the long link still haven't worked out the clicky thing...)was thinking about a 17inch size but unsure as to the correct offsets and there seems to be conflicting previous posts about this, so whats the verdict nice or not? And will they fit and with what size rubber?

Being cheeky I dont suppose anyone here could photoshop these onto a yellow griff or point me in the direction of an online configurator that would do this?

They are only 7x17 and not wide enough for rear tyre fitment.You want at least 7.5 x 17 or preferably 8x17.

While you're playing, why don't you try some SP12s? I think they look terrific and are reasonably priced.

Compomotive aren't that expensive in the grand scheme. And they make exactly what you want - getting the right offset for most wheels can be troublesome.

Weight & durability are key elements that you failed to mention the SP12's seem to score very well in also

actually more suitable for a ford than tvr. not a very god fit on the fronts with the offset, but okay for trackday use.but then again anything would be an improvement on a chim

Really fast PHOTOSHOP, I am not too good though, never really used it. (there maybe a little to much dish on the wheels I used but you get the idea I think)

I have these sizes 18/17'...do you think they'd be lighter then the stock 16/15 of a '96 Griffith?

By handling them (I mean the stock ones), they seem quite heavier then the larger SP12...

Did any of you put them on a scale?
