I went to one of these late last year at Silverstone organised by Trackdays. Cant say I would recommend it to Many cars, But worse than that there was every concievable car there including full race cars like Radical's etc.
It may sound good but in practice you spend all your time loosing your line to the faster cars and spend most of the time looking in your mirror. You end up just using the "Go Kart" line.
Silverstone was very very greasy and there was hardly any grip in the cerb. I could easily spin the tyres along the straights. Took out a qualified track driver who said it was impossible to drive unless you stayed in 3rd / 4th.
In fact in the afternoon I gave up with the Cerb and had much more fun in my son's MG ZR. Lapped just as fast as the cerb in the conditions.
On the plus side its not expensive and you can have as many drivers as you like.
I would only go back with the Cerb in the summer and on the full circuit. Expensive but worth paying the extra for.
Not blaming the Cerb as nearly all rear wheel drive cars suffered similar problems to a much lesser extent.
Good luck and enjoy yourself if you do go
