Love it or hate it...
I hate it!

Always looked to fussy, i'm sure there was a potential to do some styling changes, but this went beyond ridiculous! Although the finish on the interior was very good, if there's one thing they can do well is interior finish, just a bit whacky thats all.

I havent seen it in the flesh but the photos dont do it for me. It isnt possible to judge the quality from photos but from a taste perspective it doesnt work for me. I do however accept the "its high quality comments" on face value.

It seems to have shed some dials and gauges in the interior. The last pic I saw of it I am sure that there was a whole row of dials across above the cubbyhole where the head unit now is...

Yeah it was full of dials previously.
I notice there is a hole above the stereo on the dash middle top - is that an eary cerb feature?
So it now seems that the cars special feature is some stuck on aero kit and a remodelled bonnet and some big wheels. Not exactly part of TVR history.

Put your handbags down hehe

Whether people like it or not it is a piece of TVR Cerb history. Things don't always have to be liked to be a piece of history. The sheer amount of interest it generates especially on here (I think I've read at least 2 threads a year for the last 5 on this car, all with the same love it but predominantely hate it theme).

Personally it's not my cup of tea, but as said before the guy who carried out the aesthetic mods to this car did it because "he could", it was an expression of his skills and it was what he wanted, it was done to a very high standard despite not being what most TVR owners would like. It also proved to be quite a good selling point for his business of customising cars of which something like a Cerb would have never normally been considered. I reckon toned down and in a different colour it would look fine.

Jules.

I think the ad says part of 'TVR History' and not 'TVR Cerb History'. I agree that it is the latter, in the same way that SXS' cars are and the many other cerb moments (whirlwind induction being another).

I wouldnt class any of these as 'TVR History' though.

Not sure that any comments have been bhy - just that people generally dont like it, that the interior has changed etc.... There is nothing personal or rude about that in my opinion. In fact most people are quick to praise the workmanship.

he must have had some big bks as this car was converted a long time ago and i can imagine cerb's were still very expensive. brave: yes artistic: no

http://www.metacafe.com/watch/255389/car_engine_55...

hole above stereo is for a tv screen

550 bhp is a little optimistic but the detailing on the engine is excellent

exhuast tail pipes look pretty good too

i think some of the details are quite good and could work well and if the car had been painted black it would look alot better. the problem is that its just TOO MUCH styling

As you can see the dash was full of dials. I wonder how that has been undone, I suspect the finish in that area wont be as good as it was.
The seats have also changed, the pop up screen has gone, the LED lights in the arm rest etc....
So you really are buying a little used cerb in an individual colour with a body kit that has had a lot of the TVR Cerb history removed.

I do like the idea of a pop up screen though !

Oh I have worked out the dash - the Carsima added dials have been removed and then a new section stuck on top - so it isnt the normal 'seamless' finish in that area. Shame, I think that devalues it against a standard cerb.

Where exactly do your legs go once the door is closed?

Although I hate to say it there are 'parts' I quite like... the bonnet, the wheel arches for instance 'could' be seen on a GT race car.

Overall though its a mix match of styles IMO... TVR's are generally best left alone in their natural beauty.

Is it owned by Carisma, or does someone actually have this thing in their garage?
