Thrust bearing??? is this under warranty, it 18mnths old?

I would imagine the clutch is out of warrenty as only the engine is covered for two years, the remainder out of warrenty after one.

I would suggest talking to your dealer. See what they can do.

When you say clutch up do you mean with your foot off the pedal and the car in neutral?
If so it sound like gearbox layshafts, all of which do this do a degree on every car so only worry if it's excessive.

If you mean with the pedal depressed then you're looking at release bearing (most likely) or driven plate.
