land rover 90 side windows

i have a 90 van back. is it possible to cut the sides out and fit windows or do i need to get some second hand side panels with windows in ?

You can purchase a pair of windows [new] for about £170.

You remove the central stiffener on the inside panel...make a template and cut around it.

The windows are pop riveted in, so try and get black headed pop rivets for a nicer finish..or use a black marker pen to hide.

use plenty of black mastic to seal them in and help reduce any drumming before riveting in.

Its a Saturday job ...just take time marking out...easier to make a template out of hardboard and draw around if not too mechanical. Cut out with a jig saw.

Some LDV's use the same type of window...so check out e-bay for a cheaper buy. [these at £25 each]
