focus st170 fuel rail sensor checking?
Discussion
got a fault code po193 which is fuel rail pressure sensor signal high.how do i check this sensor/transducer is ok.as far as i know its fed 5volts from ecu.at idle it should be o.5 volts at full throttle it should be 4.5volts but on mine with ignition on its a 3 pin plug each pin to earth reads pin 1 5.0v pin 2 4.6v pin 3 4.9 v.when checking fuel rail side sensor/connector with power off i cant get any reading with meter set to ohms but my mate says thats because its a transistor.anyone know how to check this sensor before i fork out £155 for a new one.
update the sensor itself has these readings.(had meter on wrong ohms setting) pins 1 and 2 =1.42kohms pins 2 and 3 =26.2k0hms pins 1 and 3 26.2kohms these results are with fuel rail 0psi and 30psi makes no difference so it may be sensor itself can anyone verify this.someone must know.
