I know this game will probably have its' detractors (graphics not up to modern standards, handling not amazing) but I love it, and I'm really starting to get into it.
It has its problems (you can't adjust tyre strategy half way through a race, no replays, digital acceleration, etc), but it's just so......fun!
However.
Does anyone know the intricacies:
- how does launch control work (I always lose 2-3 places off the start line)?
- tyre strategies - I have to two stop in most races (25% race distance, hard opposition, tyre and fuel strats on) whereas the eventual winner will 1-stop (impossible for me).
- pit stops - why do they take forever (12.5 secs for a normal pit-stop)?
- is there a way to adjust tyre strategy / view replays / see other data that I'm just too stooopid to see??

I don't have a Wii but if launch control is anything like rFactor, you press and hold the LC button, give it full revs and release the button on green.
Regarding tyre stops, are you using hard tyres and filling the car full of fuel? Do you have to specify the start setup before the race?

You specify how many stops and which type of tyres to use in each period.
On say a 15-lap race, I get hard tyres lasting 6-7 laps and softs 5-6 laps. So I need to two stop, but other cars (albeit computer controlled ones) seem to easily do 1-stop. Just wondered if I'm doing anything wrong (or maybe I need to pay more attention to Jenson Buttons driving style).
