indicator fault

indicators faulty tried fuse and relay going to try switch assembly does any one know which model and year ford they come off as when try using them it makes a high pitched noise at assembly

its from a ford orion i am led to believe

cheers will have a look in breakers yard in morning its a bit of a set back as was booked in for mot on monday

One other thing to check - on the US cars, the indicator switch is attached to the main harness with a bunch of individual .250" quick disconnect terminals, instead of using the correct, multi-pin connector. These individual terminals may vibrate loose or corrode over time. You might want to look at the rear of the indicator switch to see if the cars in the UK do it the same way. If so, try disconnecting and cleaning each terminal.

still got same problem high pitch squil of relay tried 4 relays checked fuse again got new switch mechanism and checked out all bulb holders all got good earth and iff put straight to power iluminate bulbs is m400 wiring same as 12r as using diagram in noble parts totally baffeled after 8 hours getting no where as all worked 3 days ago
