Went to start my V8 last week, only to find that the battery conditioner had switched itself off some weeks earlier and the battery was flatter than a very flat thing.
Tried charging it again, nothing. As the local main dealer wanted circa £180 for a new one, I thought I'd speak to GC Motors as (a) I bought the car from them and (b) they are local.
They wanted to check the battery to make sure that it was totally knackered and to confirm the battery conpartment dimentions for a replacement. So 2 guys cam round to pick up the car early this week. They got the car started ok with one of those booster pack things.
The next day, I spoke to the service manager about the progress.
He said that they had managed to recover the battery and it was now re-charging and holding its charge, (they have some state of the art battery recovery kit apparently). He said that, assuming the charge cycle completes ok and the test drive goes ok, he will get it delivered back to me late afternoon.
True to his word, the car was delivered, fully functioning.
Glad to see there are people who's first thought is to try and help you, rather than just charge you for new parts.

Nice one Tony

Funny how companies reach different people in different ways!

See you tomorrow?

Yup, as long as I recover from my night out in Leeds in time.
